Julie Frankel

My background is graphic design and mixed media painting. I am an east coast transplant, living in California. In my art I often explore the themes of people watching and narrative spaces. I am also a maker of artists’ books—which combines both art & design skill sets. Patterns, stencils, and textures are one of my passions. On the design side, I’ve worked as independent consultant with Biesek Design on many projects for the National Park Service.
